About Me

A project, a dream of a Spanish-Portuguese translator and specialized editor to work with the two languages she considers her own: Spanish, the language of the country where she lived and which shaped her so deeply as a person, and Portuguese, her mother tongue.

Joana Vicente holds a degree in Commercial Management and Marketing, and later in Show Production. She has always found her passion in studies and knowledge. She lived in Seville, where she obtained an advanced Spanish course, and in Poland; in both cities, she taught Portuguese to foreigners. This experience, combined with her love for languages, led her to start working as a language teacher and freelance translator in 2004.

Since then, she has collaborated with renowned brands, publishers, and translation companies in both Spain and Portugal.

She has been a Marketing Director at an Advertising Agency, worked with children during summer vacations, been an auditor, theater producer, and tango teacher… She is a mother of twins, friend, wife, sister, daughter, and cat owner. All these experiences reflect her unique perspective on the world and enable her to grasp both a children’s storybook and the translation of a marketing campaign.
